Our PROCESS

Our process is intentionally hands-on, because the details matter. Every product begins its life with Alison's in-house, original designs and must meet our standard of being both beautiful and useful—we're not interested in creating waste. We work with carefully selected manufacturing partners, then handle all packaging and shipping from our Raleigh warehouse. As a small team, we're intimately involved in every step, which means your order gets personal care and consideration from start to finish.

our story

I founded One and Only Paper in 2014 from the spare bedroom of my Raleigh apartment, armed with a graphic design degree and years of freelance experience working with small businesses I loved. What started as wedding stationery evolved in 2020 when I realized my passion lay in product design—I wanted complete creative control to bring my exact vision to life. After years of daily UPS runs and figuring it out as I went, One and Only Paper has grown into a business with products in over 1000 shops worldwide. Today, I'm still the primary designer, spending my days creating new products and growing the business. When I'm not working, you'll find me on walks around Raleigh or diving into crafty home projects—always looking for that next spark of inspiration.
